Urnex Sani-Pure is a multi-purpose powdered sanitiser designed specifically for use on and around coffee, tea and other café equipment. Its powder format is easy to store, transport and dose — especially useful where liquid sanitisers are inconvenient. Sani-Pure dissolves into an effective chlorine sanitising solution that kills microbes on hard, non-porous surfaces and equipment parts, making it suitable for periodic sanitation of ice machines, tea and coffee dispensers, pitchers, and other beverage-service components.

Proven sanitising action & regulatory backing
This product is EPA-registered as a food-service sanitiser, and the active chemistry is chlorine-based (sodium hypochlorite/chlorinated salts listed on regulatory labels). Because it’s formulated for food-contact environments, Sani-Pure is intended to be used to prepare controlled-strength sanitising solutions (measured in ppm available chlorine) and applied according to label directions to ensure both safety and efficacy. Simple mixing & typical dosages
Mixing is straightforward: typical label instructions show that roughly ≈1 tablespoon per ≈3.7L of water yields ~100 ppm available chlorine, while ≈2 tablespoons per ≈3.7L produces approximately 200 ppm — a common shop concentration for sanitising large vessels and equipment. For smaller vessels or spot-sanitising, proportionally reduce the dose. After applying the sanitising solution, allow the specified contact time (commonly 2 minutes) and then drain and air-dry; do not leave concentrated solutions in machine waterways longer than instructed. Always consult the product label or SDS for exact dilution and contact-time requirements.

Where and how to use it safely
Sani-Pure is intended for hard, non-porous food-contact surfaces and equipment — e.g., beverage dispensers, ice machines, pitchers, and counters. It is not a replacement for detergent cleaning: remove visible soil first, rinse, then sanitise. Because the active chemistry is corrosive to some metals and can irritate skin and eyes, use appropriate PPE (gloves, eye protection) when handling concentrated powder or mixing solutions, and avoid allowing solutions to enter drains or waterways in concentrated form. Follow storage and disposal instructions on the label and the SDS.
