The HARIO Mini-Slim Plus and Mini-Slim PRO ceramic coffee mills represent HARIO’s commitment to high-quality, hand-powered grinding. These grinders are designed for aficionados who value durability, portability, and a consistent grind at a very accessible price point.

Design & Build
Both versions feature a slim, ergonomic profile that fits comfortably in-hand and stores easily without disassembling the handle. The Plus model has a lightweight body made of reinforced plastic, making it featherweight yet robust enough for daily use.
The PRO version upgrades the build with a stainless-steel body and a cast aluminum crank handle, improving longevity and strength for frequent grinding or travel.

Grinding Performance
At the heart of both mills are conical ceramic burrs. Ceramic is prized for its ability to grind beans without overheating, preserving aroma, and ensuring a consistent particle size — crucial for clean extraction in pour-over, AeroPress, or other manual methods.
You can adjust the coarseness using a stepped knob under the burrs, letting you dial in your preferred grind setting smoothly (from fine to coarse).

Capacity & Usability
Each grinder can hold around 24 g of coffee beans — just enough for about two cups, depending on roast and bean density.
The Plus model features a reinforced hexagonal adapter for the crank, improving durability and torque transfer.
The PRO counters that with a stronger, detachable handle and a smoother bayonet fitting for its grounds catcher, making it easier to empty and clean.
HARIO also made the burr section disassemblable so you can rinse it clean when needed — a key advantage for maintenance and long-term performance.

Portability
Thanks to their slim silhouette and moderate size (Plus: approx. 150 × 72 × 220 mm; PRO: 150 × 74 × 210 mm), both models travel well or stow easily in compact coffee setups. The Plus is ultra-lightweight (~370 g), while the PRO, with its metal body, is slightly heavier but more rugged.

Suitability

  • For home baristas or specialty cafés, these grinders provide a reliable, consistent grind that’s ideal for pour-over, Moka, and more.
  • For travelers and camping enthusiasts, the slim design and durable build make either model a strong pick.
  • For filter-coffee lovers, the ceramic burrs offer finesse in grind size, helping extract the subtle flavour notes of single-origin beans.
